Our Philosophy
The Oakes Volunteer Ambulance Service strives to provide the best possible care to our sick and injured patients in the
most competant and caring manner.
We also value the importance of continuing training and education to not only our
staff but also to that of our surrounding communities.
Our Service:
We provide both Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) to the citizens of Oakes and surrounding area
including: Fullerton, Ludden and Crete. Through our intercept program we provide ALS care to the communities of Forman, Lamoure,
Lidgerwood, Milnor and Edgeley. We operate four rigs, all of which are equipped to ALS capacity. In the year 2008
the Oakes Ambulance had a call volume of 412 runs, an increase from 2007, which we performed 376 calls. Not only providing
emergency services, the Oakes Ambulance provides transfers from the Oakes medical facilities to other healthcare facilities
in primarily Fargo and Aberdeen, but also Jamestown, Lisbon, Bismarck and Minneapolis.
